Recently: New World

Recently I changed jobs, cities, and countries. Everything is new.
Code
I write a lot more lines of code per day than I used to, and it’s never been less public. That’s one of the many new things I’m getting used to. I’m having a lot of fun, and I’m trying to figure out how to bring some of that back here.

Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil by Hannah Arendt.
You should read this book even if you think you already know what it’s going to say. It is many things, including being one of the best examples of intellectual bravery I have ever seen.
As a side note, I also recommend Hunting Eichmann by Neal Bascomb. It tells the story of how the Mossad tracked Eichmann down in Argentina and brought him to Israel to stand trial.

Blind Descent: The Quest to Discover the Deepest Place on Earth by James M. Tabor.

Read This If You Want to Take Great Photographs by Henry Carroll.
One of the best photography resources I know of. I was given this book as a gift, and I treasure it. It’s a great example of how to write a concise resource that covers a lot of ground.

Runway Zero-Eight by Arthur Hailey.
The infrequent fiction book. I love aviation and stories about it, fiction and not. This book is old and it shows, but it was still a fun read.
